Scarlett Johansson has made it clear that her time as Black Widow in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) has come to an end. While speaking with Gwyneth Paltrow on The goop Podcast, Johansson expressed that she feels she has already accomplished all she could with the character. This comes after her character's death in Avengers: Endgame and the release of her solo movie, Black Widow, which introduced her sister Yelena as a possible replacement. Yelena's next appearance in the MCU will be in the film Thunderbolts, where she could take over as the new Black Widow and honor her sister's legacy. She may even join the Avengers in the future.
