Mariska Hargitay and Peter Hermann have been together for 18 years, with most of that time spent while Hargitay has been starring in "Law and Order: SVU." The couple met in November 2001 when Hermann had a guest-starring role on the show. Hargitay's co-star Christopher Meloni noticed her instant attraction to Hermann. Since then, the couple has built a strong relationship and continue to support each other in both their personal and professional lives.
