Nicole Kidman, one of Hollywood's most successful and acclaimed stars, surprised her fans by revealing that she never finished high school. During an interview with radio host Kyle Sandilands on KIIS FM, Nicole disclosed that she only completed Year 11 of high school.
The admission came about as Kyle expressed his doubts about being an actor, mentioning that he didn't have the intellect or the ability to memorize lines. Nicole responded by jokingly saying that she also didn't finish Year 11 but still managed to make it in the industry. She added that her husband, musician Keith Urban, didn't even finish Year 10.
Nicole reminisced about one of her early jobs as an usherette at Sydney's Capitol Theatre, describing it as a "good gig" where she earned some cash and enjoyed being in the theater environment.
Despite not completing high school, Nicole went on to achieve tremendous success in Hollywood. Known for her critically acclaimed films like Eyes Wide Shut, Moulin Rouge!, and Australia, she has established herself as one of the industry's biggest stars.
During her time at North Sydney Girls' High School, Nicole met fellow actress Naomi Watts, and they developed a strong bond. Speaking about their friendship, Naomi emphasized their shared history and the respect and love they have for each other.
She mentioned that spending time with them guarantees fun.
Nicole's revelation about her education highlights the fact that academic qualifications do not define a person's success or talent. Her journey serves as an inspiration, showing that determination, hard work, and passion can lead to achievements even without formal education.
