Kelly Clarkson, the American Idol winner, released two emotional songs from her upcoming 10th studio album titled Chemistry on Friday. The songs 'Me' and 'Mine' were written after her painful divorce from Brandon Blackstock, and the album takes listeners through every path that chemistry could lead them down. The 14-song tracklist includes seven tracks on Side A and eight tracks on Side B. The album will be released on June 23 and is available for pre-order. In one of her posts, Kelly shared the poignant lyrics to both songs. She revealed that each song is a different stage and emotional state and that there are many stages of grief and loss on the album.
Kelly and Brandon were married for seven years before their split in 2020. They share two children, and the divorce led to a custody battle between the two.
