Country music legends Dolly Parton and Porter Wagoner had a successful partnership from 1967 to 1974, during which they released hits and won several awards. However, their relationship was often rocky, and Dolly decided to strike out on her own in 1974. She wrote the hit song "I Will Always Love You" as a farewell to Wagoner, who later sued her for breach of contract. Despite the lawsuit, the two eventually reconciled before Wagoner's death in 2007. Dolly even honored him with a performance of "I Will Always Love You" and was by his bedside when he passed away. Their respect and love for each other allowed them to overcome their feud.
