Blake Shelton Bid Farewell on 'The Voice' with Emotional Performance of "Good Riddance" by Former Contestants
2023/05/24
On May 23, Blake Shelton bid farewell to The Voice after being its longest tenured coach. His team members from past seasons paid tribute to him by singing Green Day's "Good Riddance" in a special Season 23 finale. The performance was held on a stage that resembled a cozy living room with couches and lamps, and the seats faced away from the audience as clips from past seasons played on a projector. Bryce Leatherwood, who won Season 22 for Team Blake, opened the song, followed by Jermaine Paul, the Swon Brothers, RaeLynn, Danielle Bradbery, Craig Wayne Boyd, Sundance Head, Todd Tilghman, Cassadee Pope, Dia Frampton, Ian Flanigan, and Xenia.
Finally, all of the former Team Blake members gathered at the front of the stage to close out the song, and Shelton watched them harmonize with each other. At the end of their performance, they said, "We'll always pick you, Blake."
