Kelly Clarkson's new album Chemistry, which is inspired by her divorce from Brandon Blackstock, will be released on June 23. The album features a new single titled "I Hate Love," which references the Steve Martin film It's Complicated and includes banjo-playing by Martin himself. Clarkson said that she loves the idea of things happening organically, and that many things had to happen for Martin to play on the track. She also described Chemistry as an album that takes listeners down every path that chemistry could lead them on.
