Kelly Clarkson won two Daytime Emmy Awards on June 25th for her talk show, The Kelly Clarkson Show. This brings her total number of awards to four, despite only being in its second season. She won Outstanding Entertainment Talk Show and Outstanding Entertainment Talk Show Host, beating out shows such as The Ellen DeGeneres Show. In her acceptance speech, she thanked her staff and band for their contributions to the show's success. Clarkson will replace Ellen DeGeneres in her prime slot in 2022. Additionally, the 48th annual ceremony saw General Hospital win Outstanding Drama Series and Maurice Benard win Outstanding Performance by a Lead Actor in a Drama Series.
Odd Squad won Outstanding Lighting Direction, while Sesame Street won Outstanding Technical Team.
