Law & Order: SVU star Mariska Hargitay confirmed that she hasn't been in touch with Linda Fairstein, who resigned from the board of Hargitay's Joyful Heart Foundation charity following backlash over the Netflix miniseries "When They See Us." The series details the wrongful conviction of five young black and Latino boys for a rape they did not commit. Fairstein, who headed Manhattan's sex crimes unit at the time, had long been criticized for her role in the case. Since the show's release, there has been a campaign to boycott her bestselling books. The exonerated men successfully sued New York City for $41 million in 2014.
