She stated that she was a very hands-on mother when her first daughter Violet was born, but now has faith in her children to figure out who they are and hew towards lovely as they grow up in the spotlight. Additionally, Jennifer candidly revealed her struggles to maintain boundaries and appear "nice" all the time, stating that she cannot fake it on days when she has "blackness in her soul."
