Nicole Kidman has opened up about her understanding of her adopted children after playing the role of an adoptive mother in her new film, Lion. She described the film as a love letter to her two eldest children, Isabella and Connor, whom she adopted with ex-husband Tom Cruise. Kidman admitted that shooting the movie made her wonder about the birth-family history of her children. She also shared her emotions echoed those of her character in the film when it comes to their birth parents and is proud that her children have two mothers. Kidman has been notoriously private about her relationship with her adoptive children.
