Mariska Hargitay, known for her role as Detective Olivia Benson on Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, recently debuted a new hairstyle. The 59-year-old actress added honey-colored highlights and face-framing curtain bangs to her brunette locks for summer. She shared photos on Instagram with celebrity hairstylist Chris McMillan, who operates a luxury hair salon in Beverly Hills. In addition to her hair makeover, Hargitay received an honorary doctorate from John Jay College of Criminal Justice for her work helping survivors of sexual assault, domestic violence, and child abuse through her charity, the Joyful Heart Foundation.
Hargitay is married to actor Peter Hermann, and they have three children, one biological and two adopted.
