Dolly Parton paid tribute to her friend Kenny Rogers, who died in March at age 81, by singing his classic song "Sweet Music Man" from her Nashville home for a CMT Giants memorial concert special. Parton and Rogers sang together on hits like "Islands in the Stream" and "Real Love." The event also featured performances from Gavin DeGraw, Lady Antebellum, Lionel Richie, and others. In addition to honoring Rogers, Parton recently donated $1 million to Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville for COVID-19 research. Rogers passed away peacefully at home from natural causes under hospice care, according to a statement from his family.
