There's one thing you really ought to know about comedian Nate Bargatze before you head out to one of his sold-out shows in Jacksonville.
He's a Tennessee Titans fan.
To be fair, Bargatze comes by his fandom honestly, being a Nashville native. Last month, one of his shows in Nashville's Bridgestone Arena drew 19,365 fans, a record for the venue.
Here's what you should know about the comic.
Bargatze plays at 7 p.m. Thursday and Friday at the Moran Theater in the Jacksonville Center for the Performing Arts, 300 W.
Water St. in downtown Jacksonville.
As of Thursday morning, Ticketmaster was showing just a handful of tickets available for Bargatze's Thursday and Friday shows, and all of those were single seats.
Bargatze stands out from the crowd of stand-up comics by keeping his shows clean, which he credits to his Christian upbringing. He's more of a storyteller than a joke-teller.
Bargatze's televised stand-up shows are largely responsible for his popularity.
"Full Time Magic" came out on Comedy Central in 2015, followed by an episode of "The Stand-ups" on Netflix in 2017, "The Tennessee Kid" on Netflix in 2019, "The Greatest Average American" on Netflix in 2021 and "Hello World" on Prime Video earlier this year. He's also a regular on "The Tonight Show" and has performed for troops in Iraq and Kuwait.
