Mariska Hargitay, star of Law & Order: SVU, praised 11-year-old fan Alyssa Bonal for fighting off a would-be kidnapper and sliming him with blue goo to help police identify him. Hargitay founded the Joyful Heart Foundation in 2004 to support those who have experienced sexual abuse. Alyssa was waiting for her school bus when the man attacked and attempted to abduct her. She fought back and covered him in slime, inspired by watching Law & Order: SVU. The attacker was later arrested and charged with attempted kidnapping, aggravated assault, and battery. Alyssa's bravery has been commended by law enforcement officials.
