In her social media post, Parton referenced Turner's hit song "Proud Mary" and wrote, "Now she's rollin' rollin' rollin on to glory. Roll on Tina. We will always love you!" Although they never collaborated, Turner covered a song by Parton and Porter Wagoner on her 1974 debut solo album Tina Turns the Country On!, which earned her a Grammy nomination. Turner was known as the Queen of Rock 'n Roll and died after a long illness in her home in Switzerland.
