Inside Kelly Clarkson’s court war with ex Brandon & nasty feud with his family
2023/05/30
Kelly Clarkson is set to perform at the Country Music Association Awards, marking her first appearance since her divorce from Brandon Blackstock was finalized. Their bitter court battle lasted almost two years, during which they untangled their seven-year marriage, parenting duties, and property division. Kelly was granted primary custody of their two children, while Brandon received custody for one weekend per month. Despite a prenup agreement, Brandon challenged it and demanded $5.2 million yearly in spousal support. The final settlement awarded Kelly $45,601 monthly in child support and $115,000 monthly in spousal support until January 2024.
She sold their former family home in Los Angeles and kept their sprawling Vintage Valley Ranch in Montana worth $10.4 million. More recently, Kelly faced legal action from Narvel, Brandon's father-in-law, who claimed that she owed him millions of dollars in unpaid commissions. The case remains ongoing.
