Their bitter court battle lasted almost two years, during which they untangled their seven-year marriage, parenting duties, and property division. Kelly was granted primary custody of their two children, while Brandon received custody for one weekend per month. Despite a prenup agreement, Brandon challenged it and demanded $5.2 million yearly in spousal support. The final settlement awarded Kelly $45,601 monthly in child support and $115,000 monthly in spousal support until January 2024.

She sold their former family home in Los Angeles and kept their sprawling Vintage Valley Ranch in Montana worth $10.4 million. More recently, Kelly faced legal action from Narvel, Brandon's father-in-law, who claimed that she owed him millions of dollars in unpaid commissions. The case remains ongoing.
