Stella Parton, the 69-year-old country singer and sister of Dolly Parton, is a contestant on this year's Celebrity Masterchef. Though she's always been a keen cook and has compiled three charity cookbooks, it was her UK-based publicist Simon Whittam who convinced her to join the show. Stella takes the competition seriously and loves the format, the other contestants, and the judges. She believes in running her own race and not being overshadowed by her sister's success. Stella had a tough childhood, becoming a de facto mother to her siblings after her brother Larry passed away and her mother suffered from seasonal affective disorder.

She supports the #MeToo movement and advocates for justice rather than revenge.
