Blake Shelton's Ole Red In Nashville Closed For 'Somethin' Special'
2023/08/03

The Nashville location of Blake Shelton's Ole Red bar, restaurant, and live music venue is temporarily closed from April 24 to May 6. The closure is believed to be for the filming of Season 2 of the celebrity game show Barmageddon. The show features bar games like Air Cannon Cornhole, Keg Curling, Drunken Axe Hole, and Sharts ("Shelton Darts"). Season 1 of the show premiered on the USA Network and became the network's biggest series premiere in three years. Season 2 will feature new games, more celebrities, and more fun. Fans have a chance to become extras on the show by entering an on-set sweepstakes.

The idea for Barmageddon came to Blake Shelton and Carson Daly while they were working together on the set of The Voice. The show is produced by White Label Productions and JLP Pictures for the USA Network, with Shelton, Daly, Lee Metzger, and Chris Wagner serving as executive producers. The premiere date for Season 2 has not been announced yet, but the complete first season is available for streaming on Peacock.

In addition to his work on Barmageddon, Blake Shelton is currently in his final season as a coach on The Voice. He is hoping to win his 10th and final title before leaving the show. Clarkson, one of the other coaches, praised the current season and said it has been a good time working with Shelton and the contestants.

Outside of television, Shelton recently wrapped up his headlining Back to the Honky Tonk Tour and will be performing at various music festivals throughout the summer, including Barefoot Country 2023, Jam Ranch, Country Jam 2023, Sunfest Country Music Festival, Coastal Country Jam 2023, and Boots In The Park.

Please note that this information is accurate as of my knowledge cutoff date in September 2021, and there may have been updates or changes since then.
