Mariska Hargitay was honored at the Elly Awards in Manhattan for her acting and sexual assault organization. She mingled with Carole King and Jordan Roth, and posed with Carolyn B. Maloney and Daryl Roth. Hargitay will attend a screening of her rape kit documentary, I Am Evidence, at the Nantucket Film Festival. Her show Law & Order: SVU was renewed for a 19th season premiering on September 27. Hargitay has been married to Peter Hermann for 13 years and they have three children. She is the daughter of Jayne Mansfield and Mickey Hargitay, who won Mr. Universe.
