Nicole Kidman, the ex-wife of Tom Cruise, once revealed that she married him at age 22 not for power but for protection from sexual harassment in her early career. Although she did not name anyone, she admitted to being sexually harassed. Kidman also chose divorce over embracing Scientology, which Cruise is a devout follower of, and their adopted children, Isabella and Connor, decided to embrace it. Interestingly, Cruise's only biological daughter, Suri, condemns his Scientology belief, and his marriage to Katie Holmes ended for the same reason. The Church of Scientology has been criticized for many failed marital relationships.
